I have been working for Municipality Havlickuv Brod in the Department of Social Affairs since 1981.
The department of social affairs provides social security for citizens who are in difficult social situation. This is part of national government devolved responsibilities on local authorities. In a form of financial contributions the state guarantee certain life standard to persons in difficult social situation. The office of the Department of Social Affairs decides and pays distribute several types of social security benefits, e.g. the most common of them are:
- benefits of social needs for families but also for individuals including unemployed
- benefits depending on heath conditions, benefits for persons with disabilities.
Besides the social benefits the department (its employees) is taking care of basic arrangements in the area of socially protection of children and teenagers.
