The Amadora City Council organize and execute the municipal politics in the urbanity domain and the public space, social and communitarian intervention, education, environment, culture and sports, services to the citizens. The reinforcement of the social and territorial cohesion is one of the central goals of the development strategy of the city. Concerning to immigrants, municipality have been developing intervention projects with a territorial basis, experimenting new procedures and practices of innovative social intervention, implementation and evaluation of projects, promoting the immigrants involvement in their own processes of change towards social inclusion. Amadora City Council is an experienced local public authority with several UE Programmes and projects approved, as beneficiary organization. This way, the autarchy tries to implement durable solutions and changes in the communities.
